Our history
Members of our family have been active entrepreneurs for over 30 years. We are proud of our loved ones who laid the foundations of Polish entrepreneurship that facilitated the dynamic development of our country in recent decades.
In 1989 in city of Radzionków, Bolesław Kania and Bogusław Kania, father and son, established the Kanlux S.A. company.
Kanlux being the leading lighting manufacturer in Central Europe is our family’s largest business venture to date. The success of this company encouraged our family to establish a holding company that would allow the next generations to continue the business processes started over 30 years ago and to expand into other areas of the economy.
Today the third generation runs the business and develops the family holding based on the good practices instilled in us by the previous generations and respect for their achievements.

Piotr Kania
CEO
Piotr represents the third generation of the family. When Boguslaw Kania passed away tragically Piotr became active in business at a very young age.
He completed his master’s degree at the Warsaw School of Economics. Before 2019, he was a passive investor in the family holding company. In October 2019 he was appointed CEO of family-owned Spokey company and asked to restructure and develop it.
In less than two years, the company doubled its revenues by expanding their product portfolio and acquiring numerous new business partners as well as strengthening relationships with existing customers.
For many years Piotr has been looking for an environment where he could develop his skills and establish new business relationships. The result of this search was joining YPO – the world’s largest business leadership organization. At that time Piotr was the youngest member of this organization in the entire world.
